Ford Recalls F 150 Trucks

The Ford Motor Company has recalled 2021 – 2023 F 150 pickup trucks for a problem with the rear axle. All of the recalled trucks were equipped with the “Trailer Tow Max Duty” package and a 9.75 inch heavy duty axle. These vehicles were recalled because the rear axle hub bolts on either side may break due to fatigue. As a result, the loss of torque transfer to the rear wheels can occur leading to a crash. Approximately 112,965 vehicles have been identified with the defect. Owners will be notified by mail about Ford’s ongoing investigation. Owner notification is expected to begin January 29, 2024 and completed by February 2, 2024. For additional information, owners can contact Ford by calling 1-866-436-7332 and referencing Ford recall number 23S65
